Related review: I am 5'3" and weigh 117 pounds and I could carry it a short distance but not more than a block or so. I was able to lift it over my head easily and mount it to the top of my SUV if that helps.

Is there a way to lock this with a cable as I want to store on a public rack?

There is no guarantee of locking this down.

Related review: I wrapped a metal with a nylon overlay cable around it several times to tie it to the roof of my SUV and I was able to travel about 10 miles with it one there easily. The trick was to wrap it tight and have the point facing down slightly just over/above the windshield area.

I will tell you, though, it is sturdy and easy to paddle. I have not tipped over or even come close as it has great balance. I love mine and am so glad I pulled the trigger and got it last summer!! So fun!!

It's lightweight. Overall this board was great! Felt solid, tracked well and was light enough for me to carry and put on top of my car. I'm 5'0 and the only thing Ill get next season is a carry strap.

It works great for our purposes and the price is right, but I have my doubts as to its long term durability due to the foam material it is made from. Great for the price and our use, but not a long term investment board.

Very bouyant. Nice soft top board at a decent price. My fave board right now.
